Athletic Trainer Intern Track

  • Intern is responsible to ensure ALL school requirements are met.
  • Applicants should be actively enrolled in an Athletic Trainer program in a college/university.
  • Intern will work closely with All or Nothing Performance  to develop and implement strategies to reduce player injury and improve programs to support AAU organizations
  • Intern should be self motivate
  • Most collaboration will be done through Google Meet
  • Intern Track Assignments & Documents will be available in Google Class Room

Intern Responsibilities

As an Athletic Trainer Intern we acknowledge that you have not yet been certified and will never ask you to operate outside the parameters of Athletic Trainers Licensing Law as laid out by the Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners, and do expect you to follow both the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association.

The duties we will ask you to perform are based on the needs of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). The athletic trainer’s duties, should not be considered all inclusive. The Program Director, as necessary, shall modify duties.

  • Help establish an effective athletic training program for athletes ages  4-High School.
  • Provide input on First Aid and Injury Assessment/Treatment/Rehabilitation/Reconditioning procedures for Event Coordinators, Coaches and AAU Organizations
  • Develop and review suggested first aid kits for specific sports
  • Coordinate procedures and opportunities for annual required Athletic Physicals and develop procedures for the clearance of injured athletes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sport specific conditioning programs and methods for clubs.
  • Develop a plan to ensure necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents are documented properly. 
  • Develop a daily treatment and reporting log for clubs and players to use
  • Develop a suggested list of supplies and supplies for event directors and clubs
  • Assist in Grant Programs to ensure proper equipment is available
  • Develop material to ensure proper fitting and cleaning of sports equipment and uniform items 
  • Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
  • Share professional literature relative to athletic training with All or Nothing Performance Team
